Influenza (2018)

8 ft by 8 ft, welded steel rods and yarn. The centre string and lasercut plexi is a temporary inclusion to provide a centrepoint.

Influenza is a process-based fibre installation work representing an abstract snapshot of my brain under the influence of the Flu. This instance of influenza caused a high, delirious fever that ultimately led to my collapse and concussion where my head struck the ground. It is a moment that steered my life on a bit of a different path, and the years since have been dedicated to physical healing and recovery while I adjust to living with a brain injury. I consider myself significantly changed by the events of that evening and everything after.
