I AM AN INTERDISCIPLINARY ARTIST
WORKING IN PRINTMAKING, BOOK ARTS,
SCULPTURE, AND FIBRE INSTALLATION.
My recent practice focuses on representations of invisible disability and exploring visual narratives of the many ways concussive brain injuries and post-concussive symptoms can impact daily life or even change a person. A vibrant colour palette is used within my work as abstract language to express complex aspects of the human experience that I feel cannot be successfully articulated in words to match the lived emotions. Other unifying themes include gradients to express evolving or shifting emotional feelings, hexagons as a symbol for the brain, irregular jigsaw puzzle pieces, and negative spaces to represent loss.
Past projects have also included collaborative silkscreen publications and 3D book arts projects telling a sculptural narrative.
I am based in Toronto, Canada, but frequently travel for various opportunities.
I have a deep love for paper and making boxes, and spend my free time
learning new languages. Please say hi.
